Tony/Steve Rec

Ghost in the Wires

When Steve moves into Avengers mansion he is caught up in strange coincidences. He walks behind an unseen ghost: a ghost who leaves empty spaces all around the manor. It doesn’t make sense, and it sounds crazy until he meets Anthony, a computer simulation programmed by Anthony Stark, who died two years ago. Then it just seems even crazier.

Sherlock Fanfiction - FTM!Watson.

Half the Secret Itself

Summary:

“Oh,” Sherlock says one afternoon out of the blue, “that’s different.”

“Because he wants to be in contact with him one last time before he dies,” John had explained, patiently. Early days at Baker Street, DVDs and curry and three hundred boxes of clotted-cream fudge for experimental purposes stacked around them. “Spock is a touch telepath, remember?”

“But they can’t touch – the glass is in the way. If he were to be actually touching him, it would mean they would both die, so neither of them should want it.”

“They want to show each other that they want to try.”

“That’s ridiculous. And you told me Spock didn’t have emotions.”

“I said he tried not to have them. Kirk is his exception. And tribbles – oh, I’ll show you one day.”

Sherlock had frowned, slightly uncertain of his ground. “Why is Kirk his exception?”

“Because Kirk’s lucky, I suppose.” John sighed. “This was my favourite movie when I was a teenager, and I never really thought about why.”

“Why, then?”

John blinked. “The bagpipes, obviously. Here they come.”

He swept everything from our coffee table, including something Irene Adler had claimed was priceless the last time she had swept through. I caught it, but alas not the mug of coffee which was left for Gladstone to lap up from the already much-stained carpet. “Now, Watson, to plan our escape. I hear Paris is far more liberally minded, much as the people are rude and unenlightened. Also, your French is painful to the ear, so you may have to remain indoors constantly.”

…and while Spock and she are no longer banging, they have a really disturbingly close friendship where apparently they do each other’s hair and plot to make Jim’s life hell.

“Huh.  Well can’t you just—” he tried to use his elbow to sort of point to the area where his neck and shoulder joined.
“I am afraid your human subtleties regarding gesture escape me at this point,” Spock said, which Kirk roughly translated into something like, you look like a spastic monkey, what the hell’s wrong with you?  “You will have to be more concise.”

A single eyebrow shot up.  Apparently he hadn’t imagined it.  “You lied to the Admiral?”
Sarek drew himself up, looking affronted.  “I simply stretched the truth.  Your search for a bondmate is a family matter.”

He tries not to think about Pike monitoring Spock’s ‘lessons,’ but mostly, his brain dredges up holoporn scenarios where Pike calls Spock a bad boy and offers to discipline him until he appreciates why he got an A- in skankology. Then, it really devolves. It’s not a good place to be, mentally.
